Honeyeaters are such a amazing group of birds. Somehow like the Australian version of your warblers. They vary quite a bit in size and appearance, though. I always loved how interesting and kinda funny the Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater looks. I was more than stoked to finally be able to photograph it on a great morning with sweet light.

Lovely Bird with a nice perch and BG . The head of the bird seems to be a little soft .

Beautiful image, Jan. Interesting-looking bird and on a very nice setting. The diagonal pose make it a little tricky to compose. Perhaps a 5:4 vertical with the bird bigger in the frame?

Nice image Jan - Nice to get the bird out in the open and on a nice dead piece of wood with great BG. I like the lines here.

Lovely alert pose. Perch and bg are excellent. My preference would be for just a bit more tail room. Very nice photo.

This is great! How did you get it out of the foliage onto an exposed perch? I suppose it's been set-up?
