    A San Diego bird. 7D, 500mm, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/500, tripod. Cropped for levelling.
I had thought about removing the little wave and obviously left it.

Dave, I loved the low shooting angle, raised foot and BG...bird nicely stands out with that BG. Well done.

Lovely POV and walking pose. I would add a bit of contrast or add some blacks to the neutrals and blacks in selective color to give it a bit of pop. I think I would like it even more without the wavelet,

Nice details and low shooting angle here. There is a delicate quality to this capture. I would leave the wave as is b/c it gives the picture dimension that you wouldn't have otherwise and I prefer my captures as seen. I like the raised foot and agree this could use a tiny pop.

Nice details and pose Dave; these birds make great subjects and you have captured him well, I would also try more black but very nice as is.

Great detail and love the walking pose. I agree on boosting the contrast a bit. I'd leave the wave as is.

Lovely image. I like the wave, gives a sense of place. This has captured the elegance of willets so nicely. I agree with a tad more contrast.

Thanks everyone, and I did add/subtract some blacks to get a bit more pop.
