    Excellent work Allen! A tad more DOF would have been nice (tail and wings), but excellent capture anyway. I like that there is some color in the BG.

    I second Jerry's comments about both the depth of field and the background. Very nice image.

    I'm amazed that you could catch it in flight so sharply. Yes, the BK coloring adds so much.

    Hi Allen. These shots are not easy to get and you did well with this one. Good head-to-tail sharpness and a nice background. Getting enough DOF to have the wings sharp would have been difficult without using flash and it would also bring up a lot of unwanted detail in the background. I think you did a very nice job under the circumstances.

    Great job with this one, Allen! It's sharp where it needs to be and the BG looks great! It's nice of these males to follow flight patterns and occasionally hover in place.
