Another cloudy day in Cape Breton. I swear The sun has not shone on any day off that I have had in the last month...I will not know how to set my camera settings for the sun!

My favorite b.e. shot of yours, Gail. I love the contours in the snow and all that elegant white space. Nice pose on your friend, too.

Very good. I love the pureness of it. It does seem a little tight on the RHS and I would be inclined to take out all of the snow shadows other than the small ridge under the bird.

Fantastic Gail! You had enough sun to make a shadow, which I think helps show off the eagle's derring-do so close to the ground. Wouldn't change a thing. Tonal Contrast does wonders if kept down to a subtle level. Nice job.

cool, I'd crop it tighter, good exposure and details. I wish the talons were exteneded for a more dynamic pose

Hi Gail, who needs sun when you can produce images like this. Great wing display, excellent exposure, and I like how you have brought out the detail in the snow below the eagle.

Wanna swop some of my kingfisher opportunities for your eagle opportunities.

He was going after pieces of chicken that we threw out on the ice.

Like the eye contact and pose. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more detail in the darks and slightly brighter whites.

Lovely pose and details but wish for just a tad off of the bottom and left. I really like that line and shadow under the eagle as it gives the image more depth.

Here is my repost with more cropping and brightening up the whites and cloning out some of snow shadows. I like it! Thanks for the help
PS Arash -I do have the next frame with talons extended but there is not that nice ridge of snow under the eagle

Ron S. should be commended on his usage of "derring-do" by the way
