    Captured this gal at our local state park.

    30D- 500MM-1.4 extender
    1/3200th
    F 6.3
    ISO 400
    AV Mode ,Spot Metering

    Hi Andrew !!! Sure would have liked having the bird turned toward you but the branches bother me more Just too many taking interest from the bird As presented would place the bird in the lower right corner.

    Clean of branches and in the corner would seem fine looking away !!!! Hope you can get him again !!!

    have to agree with al here. the branches are a big distraction and the bird looking towards you would have helped too.

    Thank you Alfred , I kinda figured that the branches would be an issue, from what I have been told I was lucky to get as close as I did. I got as close as 25 feet to this bird by slowly walking towards it.
    I do believe that she is a standing resident of the state park here and I will go back as soon as I can.

    I do have this shot also but there again are the distracting branches.
