Greetings, egret lovers...here's one for you. I have a jolly series of these. The water was greenish-back, as shot, and strong vignetting was applied after the fact in Capture One so as to get the white-on-black look. I'm sure we've all seen many egret shots like this before, but I'm fond of this, I guess, because I took it? Ah, photography. You know how it is. Anyhow, I will appreciate your comments and ideas and suggestions, if you're willing. Thanks kindly for having a look...
Jack a really nice egret pose...I like the low key look, the only minor thing I would remove is the what looks like green reflection just left of centre near bottom.
The composition and effect you've create works very well for this...well done
Hi Jack, nice capture and processing. If it were mine I might clean-up the background a little especially the brighter sections around the bird's left wing.
Jack, Nicely composed and captured, great eye by Paul. If it were mine I would crop a sliver off the top and a tiny bit more off the bottom. I do like that there is more room above - I know that with reflections it's fine to go in the middle but the bird seems more anchored to me ( a personal preference) lower in the frame, unless it is flying!
