    One from my archive in 2005 . This was my first attempt at bird photography with a Nikon D 70 and a Sigma 170-500 .

    Shot this beautiful median Egret from a boat .

    Aperture : 6.3
    Shutters : 1/640
    Exp comp : -2/3rd stop
    Speed : ISO 200
    Zoom : 500mm

    Rakesh, you've outdone yourself with this one. Great IQ, wonderful colors, and you've controlled the whites really well (something I have trouble doing on these guys). I might wish for the bird moved up in the frame a bit, and some room on the right, but that's a quibble. Right next to Dan's Whimbrel, that's two really special images one after the other.

    Wonderful shot. I really like the dark green background as it makes the egret pop more. Exposed very well and I would have liked to see the more of the plumage at the bottom and I agree with Ron on more in front of it.
