Fantastic! This would be a "once in a lifetime" for most of us...

Great capture. There are a few technical problems such as blown highlights, but in an image this strong they are hardly noticeable.
Once again fantastic! I have a pretty well calibrated monitor, and don't see any blowout at all. How are you liking the D4? Shooting full frame?
Beautiful shot! Is the background a combination of snow in the lower part and sky from the middle up?
Great image Alan! I like the action, details, sharpness and snow.
Very nice!! Just joined recently. Been admiring your work for a while. A friend of mine was the Audubon grand prize winner in 2009 with a very similar shot.
You may know of the photographer or the shot. Rob Palmer is his name. Techs look great on my monitor too. Very hard shot to expose properly. Very nice!!
Great action with great expression of birds captured. Loved every pixel of this mindblowing image.

one word : world class
hats off

Wow!!! Stunning powerful image. Just love the interaction.
Very well done.
Wow!!!
Hey Ron, love the D4. I've been shooting full frames for a few years now.
You have nailed it here...no nits.
I don't think I have the words to describe this image....... its just magnificent......great job.![]()
This one will stick in my head for a long time, Alan. Wildly good.
Alan, you hit this out of the park...just so many things that make it a truly great shot. loved the cold day feel, the open bill, the eye of the second eagle, the poses....everything :-)
Alan, Killer shot! I noticed that your eagles are processed with a lot of black in the feathers. I real life there are more brown tones in the feathers. Is that your personal preference or the Nikon d4 color rendering?
Been shooting a D700, haven't you? What I meant was are you shooting the D4 full-frame or in one of the crop modes? Sounds like not crop mode. I'm thinking when I get the D800E, I may really like the 1.2 crop mode.
Great detail throughout all the elements of each bird - really special.
Pete
Amazing image and the details are unreal! Congrats
