Shot yesterday on our first foray to the rookery at Smith Oaks sanctuary on High Island, Texas. Beautiful day and beautiful birds. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

I like it but for the slightly harsh light and the several light areas in the BKGR. I have removed them quickly in the repost with the Patch Tool as described in Digital Basics. I could have done even better using Quick Masks but that would have taken a bit longer and it seems that the results are satisfactory.

nice capture, wayne. love the pose and the environmental bg with the water to the left. like what artie did too. that really puts the bird in his own space.

Also like what Artie did here, but a great photo to begin with. Nice BKGR and I like the position of the bird!

Love them both. I have to agree with Artie about the harsh light. Either way a fantastic capture.

Lovely flight pose, and I especially like bg with the pink bird against green and the blue lake included. Very pretty, and Arties removal of the few light areas in the green area of the bg made it even better. Beautiful image.

    Hi Artie,

I took a second look at the image and have to concede that I overlooked theses areas. Thanks for pointing them out. I did make these same edits when I posted on another site. It is an obvious improvement. ;)
