This guy landed on my balcony the other day - new lens and have started using flash.

    1D MK4, 70-300 L 5.6 @ 236, 1/160 @ 5.6, ISO 800, Flash @ -1 2/3 with BB.

    Thanks, Tom

I like the pose, background, and sharpness. I think the whites should be taken down the tiniest bit, and I wish the bird was looking more towards you, and not slightly away.

Nice portrait. The lnes you just got is a great one.
I would select the bird not including the beak and would apply linear burn in layers
to bring out more details from the white, including the yellow on the cheek.

Neat alert pose, and nice BG. Had you had time I think this would have been good to flip the camera as a vertical and zoomed out more. Still nice as is, quite the happy looking individual. Whites look good, but just wish for a bit more shadow detail within.

Nice walk around lens - Isold some gear to buy it - no more landscapes

I may pull the whites back a bit. Good idea Daniel - as soon as the flash went off he flew off so no vertical.

Sweet and simple seems to be today's theme. Love the bird and the BKGR. Ran a 40% Details Extractor (NIK CEP) and followed that with some painted in 15% Linear Burn on the remaining bright WHITEs. Tried not to overdo it....

Very nice shot. I love the background, exposed very well, and Mr Morris repost really improved an already great pic.
    Well done.
