    Ian,

    I like it, the image tells a story and something about a bird taking a bath is interesting at least to me. I especially like the tail feathers in the water and the picture has some fine detail. The image is really sweet with the water drops coming at the viewed from all directions. The subject is the bath itself which includes the bird and the water. I bet you had fun watching this great moment in nature thanks for sharing it.

    Hi Ian, nice capture of the bathing behavior and the water drops flying are a plus. Two things to consider in this image are the head angle (had to say it) and the fact that the camera caught focus on the underwing area and not the eye. A slight head turn toward the camera and focus on the eye would make for a more technically solid image. This would have been a good time to move the AF point to the right so you wouldn't have to focus and then recompose.
