Equivalent Gitzo CF tripods?

I have Gitzo 1325 and 1228 carbon fiber tripods (these models have center columns). If I recommend to a friend current Gitzo equivalents, what models have closest performance?

Thanks for the link and reference. Here is what I see from Art's descriptions and filling in from the Gitzo web site (Art doesn't mention the 1228 or 1328):

Old model New Model

1228 = ?? (GT 2540 from gitzo site?)

1325 = GT 3530 LSV (three leg sections/4 lbs), $665

1328 = GT 3530
(1325+center column)

taller 1325 = GT 3540XLS ($760)

1548 = GT 5540LS ($800)
