    Default Barred Owl

When I arrived to this place late afternoon I heard its calling. (SE Florida)
I went back next morning, played the call once or twice and he/she came out.
I have never had this good fortune with any of the owls before.
    (them responding to the call)
I dimmed the bright spots down by using exposure in PP.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice image Karl. I like the not too steep angle and the intent look and attentive pose he is giving you. His head is well defined even though it merges with the branch behind.Comp is nice and I like the moss dangling down from the perch. I do wish the end of the broken perch was a bit more weathered looking.IQ very good.
Well done on calling him in!

I like the sharpness and post. I think this image could have been improved if you had moved a bit to the right so the bird's head cleared the OOF branch in the background (although I know this is not always possible with this type of photography).

    Thanks Arash.
There were some ugly OOF spots there.
I used the spot healing brush tool.
It doesn't always do a good job.

Hi Karl, good eye contact here, and you have done well to separate him from the BG. Overall sharp, and I feel your comp works well.

yeah the heal brush is hit and miss, I'd just use the clone tool.
