    Default camera slicker

I am looking for a "rain coat" for my camera, I shoot a Nikon D200 with a 300mm f 2.8 lens. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Hi Rusty, This is the best product I have come across. Having used most covers at football games this beats the lot.

Great company to deal with as well.

Funny, I ran into a Rusty Ray in Florida last year :)

The cover depends on your budget also. Aquatech are
    the more expensive models.

    Here's a few others...

Not pretty, but if it works...

There's also the old Hefty trash bag.

I would probably vote for the Storm Jacket. Steve is right that the Think Tank solution is a nice one. But it's built like a brick s^%# house and is overkill for most situations. Unless you're going to be doing sports in the rain, like Steve, then it's 100% worth it. If you're looking at more casual use, the storm jacket at least packs compactly, weighs very little, and works. It's not perfect and a little overpriced at $40 (depending on the size you need), but is probably all you'll really need.

Actually is good to have one of each !!!! Would use the Think Tank if I was going to be in heavy weather all day .... like shooting on the deck of a crab boat in the Bearing Sea !!!!!!

For most use I like the StormJacket Very compact and does an excellent job !!! I keep on attached to my tripod all the time !!!

A few people have asked about the low priced thin reflective rain covers that I use, they retail for about $20. I usually bring extras when I travel as backups then give them away as gifts to the locals. They are made my Pelican products.

    Small cover

    Medium Cover

    Large size

Previously I have used a $100 lightware telephoto cover and some othe big dollar covers but the problem is when shooting in Mexico, Hawaii, FL my camera would literally ROAST under the cover.

But which ever cover you choose always bring extra garbage bags just in case and in case your co-photographers need one. I have been saved by nice friendly extra garbage bag toting photographers before!!!!
