    Canon 40D, 1/400, f5.6, ISO 800, Canon 100-400@400mm, HH. Cropped for composition, NIK tonal contrast, NR, some distractions removed, some overly bright BG darkened, sharpened.

    I like the low angle to the bird. Very sharp eye capture. The background is wwhat it is. I would love to get this capture!

    You captured a nice pose here and the low angle is good. It might be ever so slightly underexposed as the detail in the dark plumage is missing, but, this is a tough exposure with whites against blacks/dark colors. I would favor cropping off the bottom so the that the bottom of the bird is at the 1/3 line. I would darken more of the BG red highlights as well.
