    Default Great Egret in Flight

Shot yesterday afternoon at the Alligator Farm.
    Canon 40D & 70-200 f/4
    AV @ f/4 1/2500s
    ISO 400
    CWM -0.7EV
(I can't recall if I had the tc on for this shot or not)
I processed this for bpn in LR and exported directly to a jpeg 800x600 instead of a tif and then processing from there (although I did that for my larger version) I sharpened it just a tad and that's it. This is the frame as shot. I lightened it just a tiny bit realizing some might consider the nape/mantle area slightly hot.

    Hi Paul,

Love the wings position. I wish I could see more details under the wings. Since you used the 70-200mm, I think using fill flash was a solution.

If you go into shadow/ highlight, you can bring up more detail in the under wings. Nice capture

Like the repost much better and love the revealed underwing detail but unforutnately the bird's head is still facing away from you... You might consider eliminating the dark defect at the top of the upper mandible near the head.

Outstanding framing for this nice flight image. The repost is very good and now all the beautiful underwing detail can be seen. Head turn mentioned.
