Redheads arent common here and this group has stayed out far on the pond most of the winter. I have waited many hours for them to come close. It happened finally and I got a few nice keepers. But they are skittish and swim away quickly when someone walks by. As a result, I got some nice wave action here. Lucky to get the HA. Wish I had taken this at a slightly higher angle.

    All comments welcome.

Now this is very unique. The little wave is very cool. I like your low angle. If you had been higher I don't think the "mantle" of water would be as evident. Lovely light on the head,

    Kaustubh:

I am rather partial to these fellows, and I think you did him justice. Love the wave wrapping around his breast/neck. Head angle, sharpness, all good.

Sliver more room on the left if available.

    Cheers

Such a beautiful image KD...as always superb low angle and excellent techs. partly visible wave behind neck really gives that wave wrapping feel.

Hi KD, great perspective and HA, and just love the overall light and colours in this. Sharpness spot on, and of course the wave puts this over the top.

Redheads are rather common in my neck of the woods, Kaustubh, and I'm a huge fan of the drake. You really captured a nice artful one here. I'm most impressed. There's a real sweetness here. Great colors, textures, and I don't see any problem with the angle here...

    Very nice one KB!
Love the light here and as Randy, I wish there was a bit more room on letf, and may be a tad less on top.

I really like the nice light coming of the head and body. Looks great. Bow wave is a big plus. Angle looks fine to me and not sure why you would want to be higher unless to show a bit more of the body. I like the suggestion of a bit more room on left.
A real dandy shot for the hours you put in.

Dave, yes my wish for slightly higher angle was so that the FG wave would not have obscured the view.

Fantastic light, look back and wave, Kaustubh. Really a beautiful image. That wave is like a fancy shawl, I just love it.

Nice head angle, excellent wave action and light. I like the low angle nad as a result the smooth blue background, Kaustubh.

Awesome image. Like everyone else I love the wave up against the birds neck.
