I stumbled upon a junk-a-tique shop Friday and had a blast with the iPhone photographing all the "stuff". There was a tote bag that had seen better days that had Marilyn's photo on it and I did this on the iPad mostly with Filter Mania.

Good job! The colors, and especially those little streaks of light, seem to scream--movie star! It is amazing what you are doing with iPhone and iPad.

Judy, this is awesome! I love the subject and the processing. Where did you get the image?

    Nice image and application, Judy.

I like the effect, but wonder if you could darken the right side to bring out a little more of the face there. But nice image.

Thanks Denise! The explanation of where I got the image is in the description An old handbag at a junk-a-tique shop that I photographed with my phone. If you look closely at the top of the image you will see 2 red rectangles which is where the strap attached to the bag.

Thanks Mark. That's not really possible with the filters I used. I might try again with a different filter before adding the light effects filter and see what happens.

Sorry, I thought that is where you got the inspiration for the photo- I didn't realise that is where you actually got the photo. In that case-WOW!

Reworked the image from scratch and it shows more detail. Process: I reopened the original image in Laminar on the iPad, cropped and straightened, duplicated layer with Multiply mode at about 20% to darken the image. Brought it into Filter Mania and applied the same 2 filters as before. Opened in Ps and did a small amount of cloning/painting for minor things. Thanks to Mark for inspiring me to do better!

WOWZA!!! Judy, I really, really like this - both versions. Maybe the first better but I'm not sure.
