    i took a whole series of shots of this remarkable flower at Longwood Gardens in Pa.

    Nikon D3s
    1/8 sec at f16
    ISO400
    180 mm Tamron macro

    Hi Bob, this is gorgeous. Love the composition and tones. Really like the hairy stem and that blue is great. My only nit and it is very minor is to clone out the touch of green in the LRC.

    Bob, I think you nailed this one. Everything is sharp, beautifully saturated and so well composed. Excellent image!

    Definitely my favorite of your shots of this flower! Great lighting, comp, colors and BG!

    I looked into growing these but they won't work in a hot, humid climate like I have here. :-(

    Excellent image. Gorgeous colors. Especially love the details. I have a slight preference for this one over your previous one, but, both are good. How did you achieve the very dark bg?

    HI Anita ....as i remember there was a shadowed area behing the blossom that went dark in the exposure. I also may have done some darkening in PS
