    Manual mode
    Matrix Metering
    AF-C, Dynamic 9 points
    Auto white balance
    Tripod inside a hide

    Cropped from 4256x2832 to 1996 x 1287

    Adjust WB to 5150, lighten eye, bill and part of the face, linear burn, curve for contrast, NR and sharpen

    My first ever Pied Kingfisher but it's a bit far away and side lighting, at least the light was not too harsh. Hope to encounter these guy more :)

    Really nice capture and you did great in PP as lighting looks even on bird..Superb BG,perch and HA. I would crop it from bottom and add some more space at top as the OOF perch in FG is bit distracting.

    Something like this.. (I did some USM Original file would take it even better)

    I like the composition of the repost as it removes some of the overwhelming perch and would give a bit more room on top if you have it. Really nice BG and HA,

    Terrific exposure and super sweet BG. Crop-wise, I'd go somewhere between the two...personal preference.
