On reflection I should have posted this first, as a few of you have already seen it, especially the larger version. This also conveys the weather better I feel too. I know some will prefer some off the top, but that might cut down the rain effect, plus I do tend to leave room above for outside usage too.

Looks miserable for the bird and the photographer. Nicely composed shows the rain. I love it....

I suspect it is an illusion, I think it is the log which is not lying horizontally. I like the composition and I think it is a superb image.

I have changed my tune. Rotating the image would be folly. J. Ashton has once again cleared away the cobwebs

A great image Steve. I like the rain & the look of the owl. I assume that the owl's miserable mien is a reflection of the photographer's.

The rain streaks add a lot here Steve. Nicely exposed and composed.

Lovely image Steve. really carries forward the wet, winter environment. Nice and sunny today and a few owls still around. Another fellow and I hooked up and went to another spot. No interesting poses and a couple SE'd owls were disinterested as well. It would be fun to get together next year and Jamie too.

    Lovely detail in this one.
