    Default Goldfinch on teasel

This was taken from my garden hide. I had to doctor it just a little, the right hand teasel was just clipped to I used the previous frame and layered part of that image over this one, hence the slightly unusual format.
    All C & C welcome.

Really nice Jonathan. I like the V formed by the branches and the cool looking ? seed pods. The bird seems a bit soft compared to the branch on the right. Why?

Nice perch, beautiful BG, and cute subject. Good PS work. I do wish for a slightly better HA, but all else looks good to me. To answer Gail: The face is as sharp as the branch at right but the lower 2/3s of the bird is physically farther away than it, thus out of DOF range...perhaps that is what you are seeing?

I like the framing idea and placing the right hand teasel in location worked out well. I would try some selective sharpening on the bird to touch it up a bit. Lovely bg.

What a lovely capture with great vegetation!!! Love how the colors complement each other. The light is nice and the HA works well for me.

Hi Jon, nicely framed with a good pose. These Goldfinches have a lovely array of colours, and he pops very well from the BG. Great pp work - well done.
