    Spotted these two sticking their heads out from thier nest, comments welcome.

    lance, that's just awesome!! i would add a touch of contrast and try to tone down the sky on the left side. other than that, it's a wonderful image. two beautiful birds!!

    Hi Lance!

    Way too cute, very pretty and colorful! My suggestion, from my screen, is that they appear slightly soft. I suggest trying to increase DOF ... to see if crispness of both bird's head & body could be improved. I would also try increasing the shutter speed, as maybe the right bird may have shaken his feathers a bit. I like the curious eye contact.

    Hi Lance I like the suggestions !!! Regarding the dof with these guys not all that far and both needing to be in focus you really need to stop down. I was doing some today and tried staying at around f 11 most of the time !!!

    Hi Alfred - caught without a tripod and very overcast day, Could have gone higher ISO to get better DOF.

    new tripod coming in the next couple of days - woooo hooooooo

    Lance,

    Good job and the fix, lovely birds, flat out neat actually!!! I think sharpening them up a bit helped quite a bit.
