Default Great Horned Owl in snow

We had heavy rains on the first day of spring here in Dallas. So posting from the vault.

This image was possible only because my friend Ray Barlow from Canada. He lent me his Nikon Equipment for this.

D300, 200-400@ 200 Handheld., F4, ISO 250, 1/2500. CAptive Bird, A lot of vegetation in BG cleaned. Sharpening action used. rings on the feet cloned out.

I know I suck at cloning out things but I am getting better....

Great pose and details, nice light and wing position. Please indicate if the owl was captive or baited.

    nice work

Very nice with the open beak, great light, good detail on the owl.
