    Bar-tailed Godwit - Limosa lapponica

    1D MKIV, 600mm IS, 1.4x II, Skimmer.

    I haven't been very active here lately...... Mostly lurking in the shadows
    BPN still has to be the no.1 avian forum on the interwebs, the photos presented and the knowledge and opinions shared. I've learnt a lot from the generosity of super enthusiastic participants.
    The images on display push me to strive for better each time I'm out in the field.

    I like the simple elegance of this shot. Some might take issue with the centralized bird, but I do not count myself among that group of aesthetes. Very nice soft light. Nice feathers. This image pleases my eyes...

    A nice image. I might add a bit of blacks to the neutrals in selective coloring in photoshop to make the bird pop a bit more. I would like to see the bird moved slightly to the right of the frame. Love the pose and soft gentle feel of the surroundings,

    Very nice shot. Great pose, excellent detail, love the calmness of this image, and I really like the comp.
