An American Oystercatcher taking off. A bit of habitat in the frame.

    D3s, 600mm+1.4TC on tripod, ISO1250, f8, 1/3200
M Exp w/ Auto ISO, +0EV, 95%+ of full frame

All comments/critiques welcome. Usually I like to follow the adage of more space in front of the bird, but here I wanted the environment and with the splash trail it works from me, but please let me know if you don't like the bird leaving the frame. I'm also tempted to remove a little of the blue sky above the wings, but kept the original aspect ratio.

sweet! lovely flight shot with excellent wing position and sharp details. nice water trail too! you nailed it. I'd move the OC to the left a bit.

I feel as presented, everything is balanced really nicely.
The bird looks awesome. Very cool wing-up pose.

A terrific image! Great light, colours, habitat, shooting angle and eye contact. Techs look spot on too. I like it as presented but here is another version with a bit less on the left, a bit more on the right and darkening of the rock on the left.

I like the comp fine as presented, but Ofer's is a good option too. What a stunning flight image! Fantastic wing stretch and head angle, doesn't get any better! Great sharpness and exposure. Fantastic work!

Awesome IQ Robert! Great exposure and sharpness and wing position. I like it as presented but could see a version with more room in front, less behind. Well done.
