    Went to Hackberry Flats WMA today and was fortunate enough to get this image of a Swainson's hawk. Handheld.

    Nice pose and eye contact. Did you use flash, I"m wondering about the catchlight and positive EC would have helped in this situation.

    Lovely and very sharp. Lightening the left underwing would likely make it an even more pleasing image. (Quick mask + Shadow Highlight or Curves...)

    Lovely flight pose and a beautiful subject. Agree that the midtones need to be lightened somewhat to let the sharp detail come out, and it is an easy adjustment to make.
