Taken this morning in Boat Harbour near Sydney. Just a simple image of a plain bird but I still like it.
The Canon 800 f5.6 is just amazing (I know I say it every time). Sharpnes even with the x1.4 converter is mind blowing.

    About 80% of full frame

Great looking bird. Nice and sharp and lots of feather detail. BG is very complimentary and I really like the nice flat foot. I would clean up the few droppings just this side of bird.

Interesting to see the inclusion of the dark area on right as I find it distracting.

very sweet light and pose Ofer, I like it a lot. the rock on the right is a bit distracting but not a big deal given everything else. very sharp details

Beautiful light and complimentary colors. I wish the black area wasn't there as it draws the eye away from the plover.Perfect HA. I do love the horizontal lines in the rock though-adds great texture,

    Ofer:

The bird is nice in all respects! Colors nice as well. I was struck by the dark shadow at once, and would try to dodge it a bit so it doesn't contrast so sharply with the other ares of rocks.

    Good shooting angle as well.

    Cheers

Wonderful image. Excellent pose with a great head angle. Detail is amazing, very nice light, agree on the rock ,but not a deal breaker.

Fantastic plover! Repost is a big help. It's not just a simple image of plain bird, this little bird has character!
