Repaired some broken wood on top of the perch. Used a bi-color filter from Nik Color Efex Pro on the background.

Colors are excellent, even the perch, sharp, good composition, nice complementing creamy BG. I only wish the bird had some slight head turn or body and head turn toward the camera. There appears to be 2 catch lights, did you use a flash fill?

    Joel,

The dove has some of the best colors few people take the time to photography them like this - well done. The focus on color is unique and makes it a strong image and the soft light is sweet. Background is beautiful and compliments the subject well. The perch competes with the subject and causes the eye to toggle back and forth IMO. This is a good example of using a simple subject to capture a nice well exposed image - thanks for posting Joel.

Hi Joel, lovely colors and detail in the soft light. One of my favorite birds for their ethereal qualities. The green channel gets pretty hot on the lower neck area and the red channel on the feet, could tone them down just a tad. Sharpening is on the edge for me, from a previous post I think it might be changing when you convert the image? Not sure about that one... There is a small white dot on the tail, about halfway down on the right. Very nice presentation of the dove!
