Rooted in Love

I made this composite from a sunset shot, a closeup of a tree root that was processed in Pixel bender oil paint, and a cutout of a couple shot during a Shakesperean play. I am not sure what it means ....I was just letting things flow together the other night. Since i am new at this compositing technique I had some trouble matching the light but I did my best and I am reasonably happy with the image. I would love to hear from others

Bob I think this is a very nice piece of artwork, other may disagree but I'd probably crop this more of a panorama and cut out the trees on the bottom right. It would also remove the black from the bottom left.
The tree root, couple and sky work well together. Nice composition.

I think you did a great job of compositing. I agree with Paul on a pano crop to remove the lower portion with the trees.

Bob, Very whimsical and yet spiritual looking. I like this a lot. I would also crop some off the bottom and good eye by Paul regarding the LLC black strip.

Super creative and imaginative composition, Bob. Great mood you created, and like the light, color, and texture of the tree roots. It looks like the couple is standing on the foot of a giant made out of tree roots.

Hi Bob, very interesting and different concept - it's what OOTB is all about! Excellent job of matching the colors of the elements, this is often overlooked in composite work. I think Paul has a great idea on the crop. I wish the one actor were not obscured by the other one...

I really like this a lot. I wouldn't crop it at all. I think it has a wonderful fairytale like quality to it. I wonder if adding just a tiny bit of blur to it might bring out a more dreamlike quality to the image.
