    Default Brazos Bend State Park

Some of you may have seen this one already but I thought I'd post it here anyway. The original was rather bland but applying a gaussian blur overlay saved it.

Howdy Chris, been awhile :). Eric and Tom hang out there as well, sure of it down in Texas. Anyway, almost an Orton effect with this and very easy on the eyes. Have to love the soft colours and that reflection. Very nicely done M8t.

All the best Chris and nice feel to it.

Here's the original. Only thing done was a quick levels adjustment.

Very interesting M8t, nice to see the original. Although its still a nice shot, it looks kinda busy with all the bush. How you took all that away and gave it the "feel" you did, is remarkable and just goes to show what can be done. Excellent exercise and superb result Chris.

Now we have gone this far with it, was that ripple forced, pebble, rock, stone, coke bottle or concrete block, maybe a truck :) ;) or was that a natural ripple. Curious minds need to know

Absolutely nothing was done other than the overlay. Nothing was moved, removed, added or changed. The ripple is natural from a fish or grebe diving down. This was early morning at the park on Turkey day weekend that year and the weather was rather uninviting.

Thank you for all the kind comments.

Thanks Chris, that ripple makes this shot, it actually draws my eyes and adds interest to it. Very neat and I guess, good timing. Outstanding look in this.

    All the best Chris.

Hey Chris, Love the feel, the colors, and the mood. I feel that either a pano crop from the bottom or including the full reflection of the orange tree would be a huge improvement. I could easily live without the ripple if the former...
