Go tired of reading about color settings so I used my almost expired trial version of CS5 to play with this B/W version from last summer. The white specks in the rocks are snow flakes. 7D, 1-400L, f6.3, 1/640s, ISO 400, +1/3 EC, full frame, HH.

Hi Steve, very good conversion and I think your choice of medium was a good call to portray your subject. I also like the backdrop which helps to isolate the subject. Overall a nice environment/habitat shot.
If you open you image and Image > Mode > Greyscale and then Save for Web sRGB (I know, I can here you shouting here Steve) but it will remove the slight Red cast to the image and will give you a straight/truer colour IMHO.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Intersting look in B&W. Looks like a good coversion, good and sharp.
nice scene and good strong conversion here Steve.
white whites and deep blacks - I like!
I also like the diagonal formed by the rocks...
Steve - nicely done. The conversion works well and I also like how the texture of the grass is similar to the texture of the goat's hair. I also like the diagonal of the rocks.

Rachel
I love every thing except the white sky Steve. May be some clouds with darker sky will make more justice to this image.
Thanks for the look and comments folks.
