I like it, though I would take some off the bottom.

    Kaustubh:

The green def. gives it a different feel from the usual brown tones we associate with them.

From a comp.standpoint, the ROT placement works, except that in this case the mass of OOF green is perhaps a bit overpowering (as Dan implied)

You might be able to lightly burn in the foreground to help push our eyes towards the subject.

    Cheers

I like the oof surroundings. I just wish that the oof fg did not cover his left side, other than that I like it.

I like the comp as posted but ditto what Jack and Gail said!

Would also have loved to see some light on his right eye.

Actually the OOF for- and bacground work very well, here, Kaustubh.
Funny I also noticed what Jack said about the left side.
You can use color replecament tool but I'm not sure if it would work.

I love this as-is. It appeals to me very much, and it's one of my favorite burrowing owl shots of yours...

Lovely image , Kaustubh . The green does seem a bit overpowering , but the eye contact puts this image over the top !!!!

Love it all Kaustubh but wish the left side of the bird was clear. I especially like the warm side lighting.

I'm a huge lover of mush so I find this image very attractive. If I'd been lucky enough and skilful enough to photograph it in the first place, I might have whipped a bit of mush of the bottom. A minor nit,
    really!

Lovely image here! I too like the green, but just wish it wasn't on the bird's side.
