Very beautiful bird. The perch, BG and perfect head turn. Loved it

Absolutely superb great pose and detail. I may be tempted to desaturate the background a little bit - especially the yellow component.

Nice work, Jack. I like the reds, not overdone. Very sharp, bg could use a little nr (maybe it's my eyes?). A suggestion for your setup perch, I would like to see the perch angle up towards the right a little. The horizontal part is not the best, artistically speaking IMO.

He is gorgeous and well photographed too. Dan has a good suggestion and I myself would clean up that little nub by his left wing.

Love the pose and perch.....sweet BG too. I'm OK with crop as I like them tight.....but nice options to explore from suggestions above.

Magnificent image and presentation, Jack !! Perch suggestion by Dan Brown seems a worthwhile project. The bird's pose and treatment are to die for. Thanks for showing.

Hi Jack, lovely soft light, which in turn has brought out the reds perfectly. Super pose, and I like the overall detail. The lichen covered perch works well, and although Im fine with the perch being horizontal across the frame, Dan's idea about changing the angle sounds great. I wish you had more DOF for the tail.
