I thought I would post a fun image....It was really a heart stopping experience and yet funny watching these chicks walk among the Elephants trying to get a drink at the waterhole...

Hi Peter, I really like the shot because of the POV, content and the wee strip of water in the BKG.

However for me, I do find the dark trunk on the RHS slightly distracting, plus whether the chicks look at a tad too sharp, but that might just be the size and set against the DOF of the BKG?

As a fun image I like it very much, but if I were wanting to take it a bit more seriously, I would experiment with a vertical crop down the right hand side of the second chick which would accentuate the quizzical look on the elephant's face.

It is a fun image. I really like the size juxtaposition between the elephants & the chicks. I might consider cropping out the far right chick & cropping down to the top of the tusker's head. I agree with Steve that the black trunk on the RHS is distracting.

Peter - I agree, a fun image. I like the way it appears that the ellie is looking at the chicks. I agree about the dark trunk on the rhs being a bit distracting.

    Peter,

I'll bet you will not see this sort of scene very often
I think losing the dark leg and 4th chick will not damage the overall effect.
A "moment" if ever I saw one!

Well seen and depicted here Peter, with just the right amount of DOF, agree on taking out the dark trunk also.

I like the juxtaposition but what is hurt this for me is the bird looking away.

    Great vision here Peter.
    Low angle tells it well.
Although the dark trunk caught my eye, it works with and without it. The one chick looking away is part of the story for me.

I am with Rachel on this one. I like the fact that one chick is looking away at the elephant who is checking them out.

    Cool image.
