Poster edges effect to original image, then I used a Nik Color Effect but heck if I can remember which one...I made this image two weeks ago. The original was taken in Georgia last December.

I added canvas at the top, the wing tip was clipped, added a bit of wing from another image.

Has the late day sun effect...Thanks for looking

A beautiful original and excellent repair work. The colors however are too funky for me.

I like how the bird fills the frame. I like the "funky" colors! Nice work with the wing.

As stated a very nice comp and great repair work. The tones do remind me of a really late afternoon low sun. I like the shot. I do see a bit of halo on the upper wing, but it's not bad.

Paul, Nice wing repair and the filtering is nice. I do see the halo that Dave has pointed out and that and maybe toning down the whites a touch would be all I would do. Nice original capture.

Hi Paul, nice capture and processing too..good suggestions above. I might try desaturating the background just a touch if it were mine.

Beautiful composition, Paul! Love the incoming pose. I like Andrew's suggestion on desaturating the bg just a bit. Excellent processing and restoration work!

Very nice, Paul. I like the background. I'm wondering if maybe you just brought in a bit more detail from the original bird, it might be even stronger. He seems a little bit too yellow to me.

I agree with the other comments. Very nice base image, repair and processing. I am in favor of toning down the yellow a bit.

Paul, I like the intense colors and the base image is really nice. The yellow is fine with me but I might tone down the whites. I like the effect you got with poster edges.

I would tone down both the yellows and whites. I like your original posted image Paul, and I also enjoy (and learn from) the constructive comments.

Nice original capture, Paul! Good work on the wing tip. I have been staring at this for a while, trying to decide what I think and.....I think that it isn't far enough OOTB! The OC is so good that I want it to be Avian. So, For this forum, I can't advice (you are the artist here) But, for Avian, I would like to see the bg smoothed, the colors toned down a bit and VIOLA...a fine sweetly lit shot of a skimmer. Good work!
