The perch looks like a swing, very cool.
I would maybe lighten the head just a tad, beautiful colors,
One of my favorite birds, I no longer live where they do.
    Very nice BG.

    Hi Jonathan,
When I looked at the thumbnail I thought he was on a swing! You have shown the iridescence very nicely.Tack sharp. The whites on wing look a bit hot. Also I see a little white dot on the tail on the purple. I would clone that out-whatever it is! Very nice BG and I like the look back as well.

Wow! This is excellent Image. Agree with Dan for slight lightning of head...the whites on wing look little hot...Except the two small nits everything else is superb and IQ is top notch.

Hi Jonathan, Really like the framing of the bird by the branches. I agree with the comments above to take this already well done shot up a notch.

This is very good Jonathan. High IQ. I wish you could have used fill flash on the face only, wonderful perch and BG.

Lovely bird and lots of good suggestions given. They are a very pretty bird and by recollection especially this time of year. I grew up on the Canadian prairies and in the '50's we used to get 10 cents for a pair of legs. Magpies and Crows were considered a pest to game birds. How times change.

    Thanks for posting Jonathan.
