    spent the afternoon at wakodahatchee with a lot of friends from miami:) (we missed you al!) and was able to get this guy while i was there. this is a HUGE crop. but i think it held up well.

    D300, Sigma 50-500 at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/2500s, 0EV, ISO 400, flash fill with better beamer at +0.7EV, handheld.

    Hi Harold Crop did hold Would work around the eye and keep only one catch light Lots of reflections there Might darken and saturate the yellow bill Has a strange look Do like the soft blue sky color Great looking Nikon blue !!!

    Different and interesting crop I like it !!!

    to be very careful using the sharpening tools. When we sharpen something in an image it can make other things in the image appear softer than they should. On my monitor it appears you've sharpened the eye and that made the beak appear soft. Also sometimes the light will bounce off of the beak and radiated into the blue in the back ground and make it appear soft. This can be corrected with the cloning tool. Your image is perfect because of the non complicated background.Rod

    Nice blue but I think the whites look pretty darn good too. Agree on the eye and the bill.
