    Default Nikon D4 Bald Eagle

    NIKON D4 300/2.8, ISO 800, f13, 1/500, fill @ -2.0.

Received my D4 about mid day today while up in Alaska. The light is dark outside with snow showers, but I charged up that baby and ran out side to see what I could find to shoot. Found this guy sitting on the beach. He allowed me within 6 feet. The auto focus is insane, as is the buffer with the XQD card that came with it.
I believe I may need to micro adjust the camera a bit for my 300, which I will attempt here in a minute. Wanted to get a D4 image out to you guys. More later.

    Alan:

Glad to see the first bird photo out of the D4. Sounds and looks promising. You must be NPS to get it sent after you to Alaska.

Congrats, and really looking forward to more D4 images.

    Cheers

You create great images no matter what camera is in your hands, but this really looks over the top. Congrats, Alan. Enjoy it.

    Hi Alan,

So at first glance you would be happy to say the D4 is a marked upgrade from the D3s?

Looking forward to hearing more about the things you like about the new camera after you have had a chance to use it for awhile.

    Cheers

    James

Excellent image Alan! I like the exposure, DOF, details, sharpness and stare. Great use of flash as well.
