One of a very few images I have managed to get with some sky, and also without a TC, maybe you will prefer the images without sky? The bird was back lit, I created a QM of the darker areas and increased Levels a little bit. I applied NR to the background. I look forward to reading your C&C.

I don't mind the sky as it adds to the environment. My preference is not to have bird cutting the horizon, but you take what you can get. Very nice oncoming pose and very well exposed for back lighting. I have been critqued that at times whites patches on the wings will pick up a blue cast. You may want to have a look at this. Good for you to get nice and close.

Excellent image. You processed this very well to keep the backlit effect and bring out the details in the shaded areas. fine with sky as well. Nice incoming angle.

Nicely done with the backlight Johnathan. Agree about the horizon but well handled and nice pose too.

Very nice shot. I really like the incoming angle, nice habitat, and very well composed.
    Nicely done.
