    Default Snowy Owl

This might be my favorite image of this wonderful bird that graced our beach this past winter. He was absolutely stunning, extremely cooperative and highly harrassed as a result of his celebrity. I got to spend one delightful afternoon with him and only a couple other people and to make matters even better, the light was nice and he was resting in an uncluttered spot.

Thank you for looking. I plan to make a print of this for my office so any comments before I do will be appreciated.

    Grace,
This is absolutely superb. I have not a single nit!! I love the low angle, the comp, the foreground vegetation, the BG, the direct gaze, the little feathers on each side of his head. 10 out of 10 for this home run!

I see a little black dot on the very top of his head that I would clone out for printing.

Could there be a more stunning creature on this planet. I remember you mentioned this snowy some time ago,Grace. Beautifully captured. I love how the warm surrounding colors set him off. Fantastic exposure and IQ. How wonderful this will be to see on your wall!

Hi Grace, you guys are killing me with these snowy images. Good eye contact, and you have exposed this snowy so well, and the whites pop nicely from your darker BG. The placement works well, and I really like the different foliage in the FG. Congrats on a fine image.

A lovely owl photo. I really like the all white look, direct eye contact and brown habitat. He'll look good on a wall.

    Grace:

Lovely on all counts. Techs, comp, environment.

The only thing that comes to mind for me would be to try a version with just a sliver off the top, purely personal preference.

    Congrats!~

Lucky you to have captured a male in such great light in this amazing habitat. I would not change a thing. Congratulations on this one, Grace.
