    Default which lamp for light painting?

    Question particurarly to Morkel and to Roman: which lamp or which kind of lamp in night photography ? to ligthen ,for example, a small waterfall, or a tree, a stone, in th fg. Thanks.

    Hi Valerio
    Check this link to Harold Ross. He recently gave us a tutorial on light painting and he uses a common variety LED flashlight with a narrow focus beam so he can direct the light accurately on close ups. I used a similar one and added a cardboard tubular "hood" about 3" long to prevent light scatter and to concentrate the light on the subject. I got fairly good results at first try. To illuminate larger outdoor subjects he uses a larger array of LED lights.
