Another image from my April 2009 trip to the Galapagos. Taken in the late afternoon on Genovesa Island.

HH, Luminosity mask, levels, curves, selective NR on bg and sharpened in CS5. I also cloned out a couple of brighter spots in the bg.

I love looking at the Booby. I'd rank it 3rd on my all time bird list
    behind the penguin and puffin.

Maybe brighten it just a tad?

The head angle is a little off, but its still a nice image.

Hi Rachel, nice image overall - agree that you add a bit of light to the image. The head turning away a bit cost you sharpness at the end of the bill, but the rest of the head is nicely detailed. Good job on the background cleanup, I would probably reduce the level of the bg with a curves or levels adjustment. Good catch!

Hi Rachel, is it me, or is there some need of some USM or have you just applied no mask for any NR as f/6.3 you should have more detail. Just doesn't look up to your normal postings? Also some Red/Magenta coming through on the neck/head in the whites.
