Awesome. Light, color, comp, a psychedelic light show.

the light, splashes and tight crop makes this work very well Peter...you've been holding out on us it seems
    also curious about your settings?

Agree with above comments, the head bristles resembling grasses Peter, are a nice touch.

    Peter,

Certainly a marvelous splash, but I am not sure about the highly exagerrated colours, in particular the Blue Hippo.

now that you mention it I see it too...I would tone down the blue in the shadows a bit Peter, but I do love the saturation on the splashes

Peter - definitely a different type of image, almost reminds me of a Rorshach test . If we stare at the splash long enough we'll start to see other things in it but that's part of what makes it so interesting. The pov works well. I agree on the blue hippo.

    WOW Peter

The dramatic impact (a moment frozen in time) and vivid colours makes the image for me Peter. Pleased to see you found the Vibrance/Saturation sliders, LOL. A big departure from your normal postings, is this a new route of exploration?

    Sweet action Peter.

I think it could do with a tad more selective sharpening on the water splash and I like the saturation on the splashes but feel the green is a little too vibrant.

    Thanks for the comments ...

Steve .. I thought I would give the forum a break from black and white
... Agree about the slight blue cast...hippos,rhinos, elies, u will always pick up some blue in the shadow...seemed to have overlooked this one in my PP work.... So thanks ...
The saturation of the other colors are fine to me... It's down personal preference ..

Jamie... I took this image a long time ago.... No idea why I used these settings .. Was probably not paying attention... So a lot of the water is OOF due to Shooting wide open ...

Thanks all.... Will get posting and commenting again soon...
