Was trying to get one these onto a horizontal perch, wasn't easy to get them to go for it and I didn't quite get the head angle I wanted. The platform feeder was cloned out along the lower edge of the frame.

Great picture Joel and nice job cloning. I particularly like the sharpness of the eye, and the moss on the branch, which adds a nice piece of color contrast. These downy woodpeckers are among those birds that are easy to find, but still challenging to get a great image. Nice going.

Joel - well done with great detail and sharpness. HA is only slightly off, my guess is the HA police will let you off with a warning. I too like the contrast of the green moss.

Hi Joel, the bird looks fine - nice colors, detail, and exposure. The cloning didn't go as smoothly however and there are obvious artifacts, especially just below the bird's rump. There is a hard edge that appears to be a sample from an edge of the image, and also some "fuzzy" areas that have a very cloned look. I would re-visit this one and try for a more natural look with the process.
