Hi
This is Sudipto from Calcutta in India. I have been birding and taking photographs in this part of the world for some time. I have lots to learn both in birding and in photography. I hope to show you guys some interesting bird species from one of the most diverse and species-rich regions in the world. Hope to bring in some diversity in terms of species to this forum.
My equipment is a Canon 7D with a 400 mm f 5.6.

Welcome to BPN, Sudipto! You've come to the right place to learn. There are quite a few people here from India. Looking forward to your photos and participation!
Hi Chris
Thanks for your welcome. I did see a few familiar faces of birders from India here. By the way, that's me trying to negotiate an improvised bamboo bridge in a particularly impoverished part of my city last Sunday. I am stooping down because there is no bamboo railing at that particular spot on the bridge for quite a few feet and I have two pieces of bamboo at different levels under my feet. This area is rich in birds in winter and it's often worth the trouble but the image is more about the travails of birders here :-)
Hi Sudipto, welcome to BPN!! Looking forward to seeing your material. You've join the right place to learn and share as a wildlife photographer! Nice photo of you...looks like a mean balancing act on that "bridge"!
Be careful out there and take care of that 400 f/5.6! Let's see some bird photos!
