For me, the Red Wing Blackbird call is the sweetest in the Avian world.

Dan:
Nice detail in the blacks and reds, not easy to hold on this species. Calling pose good., sharp.
Pleasant BG.
Is turned a bit away, but I will just image he is calling at some intruder onto his turf.
I am guessing the is a 1 year old bird based on the amount of brown on the shoulders.
Cheers
Randy
Beautiful singing pose and nice colors and sweet BG. I love the perch here. Nice one.

Nice job with the processing.
I would have wished for a better head angle -- the bird is pivoted away from you.
Excellent portrait! Not easy to bring out all the color and the blacks in this pesky and plucky bird! You really nailed this protective divebomber! Personally I love the head angle, shows off his eye...nice catchlight too...
Sweet shot. great BG and perch. One fine image.
Excellent portrait! great BG and perch.Love the details.
Dan, I have to say this angle works IMO and it shows feather detail on the back that you don't often see. Nice crop giving enough space below and to the right of the bird.

Spot on exposure for the blacks and red in this Dan. Good detail, pose, and awesome BG.

Ahh, I love the RWB's call too...especially at this time of year (harbringer of Spring!!) For me I find some of the blacks a little too dark (face, neck, primaries), but most commented positively so it could be my monitor. I'd prefer the head angled our way rather than away. Classic cattail perch, and I love the background!
Thanks for the nice comments and critiques.
I had a couple of the same bird with a bit better HA, but not better exposure, so I went with this one.
I really do appreciate the feedback.

Excellent pose and techs Dan. you already know about HA.
