Default Young King Eider, snacking on the high seas

Oh yes! Taken the other day with the Canon 7D, 70-300L at 300mm, iso800, 1/250, f5.6
I like this photo! I find it pleasing! Will you? It's impossible to know!
As always, I will await and welcome your comments and suggestions. If this photo is not your cup of tea I will respect you all the more so long as you tell me why! I will tell the low-angle police that short of lying face-first in gooseshit, this was the best I could do...
The photo was given a slight crop, levels tweak, and USM.
I send you love and respect!

A very nice behavior shot and I like the pose. You have already mentioned the angle and the one thing I might look at is some off the top. It seems quite bright and not a lot to offer.

    Nice behavior shot, Jack.
Lighting was pretty much the same today. This guy is the friendliest King Eider I have ever seen.
It came so close that I could no longer shoot it, not even a head shot.
    Maybe one meter away.

Thanks Karl...I stuck around and even went back 2 more times. I was able to get the bird in some pretty nice light, but found this shot more interesting...it was amazing to me, o yes, our proximity to that bird!
