Taken on Sanibel Island a couple weeks ago. The sun was high and I despaired of getting good shots but I think I made this one work, the light gave me the shutter speed I needed. I was after a willet in flight, I think they are so very beautiful.
Wish I could say this was full frame but.... I'm no Arash (-:. About a 50% crop. Desaturated greens a little, warmed temp up a little, sharpened. Cloned out a spec highlight on bill. NR on BG.
Thanks very much in advance for any C & C.

After I posted, noticed some lightness below wing tip that bugged me, so fixed that and am reposting. Forgive the double post.

Excellent flight pose Melissa! And your sharpness is very good. I'd go with a tighter crop, and I'd correct the color cast (which looks cyan to me).

Thanks a lot Doug. I was worried about more of a crop compromising the IQ but I guess it's ok. Here it is with the color correction.

Nice one Melissa. IQ has held up very well. Wing looks very sharp with lots of detail and wonder if a bit of selective sharpening on head area would be an improvement.

You should take your last crop and process the colors like Doug's and it would be perfect.

sweet Melissa, this is a tough one! I like the tighter crop but I see a color cast. Try to match the colors with Doug's
