Lovely. Exposure, background, pose. Everything is just so nice.

This is the most common bird where I live, yet I never managed to get a satisfying image of it. They just won't hold the pose long enough at a decent spot for me to be able to react on time.

I don't know how your original image was, but I would have tried to put the bird a tiny bit lower in the frame. And I really mean tiny bit. [Am I really doing a critique of a picture taken by an ETL Mod? What's going on with me... ]

Jeff, I like the HA, the diagonal perch, the BG & the techs. A great image. TFS.

Hi Jeff, this year's model is looking good as always. You get some really nice captures of these little flitters. Exposure, color, bg, etc. all looking good. I would crop from the right for a different look, featuring the little bird a bit more. Just another option, like it as presented!

    Jeff,

Greetings. Great balance for detail in blacks and whites. Top notch field craft at 800mm fov, quick moving subject. I might detail/sharpen up the feet if it were mine. Good show!

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Agree with others, techs are solid and I think the negative space is used to good effect here.

Carolina Chickadee in bright light- a real challenge but you pulled it off Jeff. I might dodge a little light into the right side of the breast. Nice BG.

Jeff - nicely done with good techs and I like the comp. I particularly like how the perch parallels the white section of the head.

    TFS,
    Rachel
